Have you ever played the game that you switch on the radio and the first thing you listen to is the answer to your doubts? It happened to me this afternoon.

Since a few days I was wondering if it was worth to post some pictures of last week Paris Haute Couture shows, maximum expression of the fashion state of the art but quite far from "daily clothing options", when a voice told me the answer.

You should daydream about clothes just like when you think about the places you wish to visit: dream big, don't stop your mind at Caronno Pertusella if you feel the fascination of New York city, aim high is priceless.

To my surprise it was Anna Dello Russo, fashion victim editor of Vogue Japan, who pronounced these words -rarely I agree with her point of view- but I think she's right, so why don't wonder the human creative abilities!

Here there are some pictures of my favourite outfits, starting from Giambattista Valli, at his very first Haute Couture show, going on with the lebanese Elie Saab and ending with everlasting Valentino by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.

I hope you all feel free to travel with your imagination too.

Ciao a tutti!

Buon fine settimana!

There's a reason why women love bags so much: they establish a relationship of deep confidence and belonging with these items, they choose them among many and then they feed them with all kind of just in case objects put inside, because you never know what you might need during your days.

Is it the same for men? Probably they are more practical and less sentimental compared to us, but don't they need a place to put their stuff in, do they?

Thinking about that, I made a patchwork of suggestions taken directly from the last Milan Fashion Week. I discarded shoulder bags, few men know how to wear them with confidence, and all the big handbags, to me useful for travelling but not so urban, and I found out that the technological evolution brought to us a new kind of men bag, in addition to tablets and netbooks. Flat, small size, discrete but with personality, able to make young men look more mature and adult men up with the times.

What do they put inside it? Who knows, that's part of the game. The exterior reveals part of the personality of its owner while the inside tells you his secrets.

Today in my little town there has been a bonfire to celebrate the day of Epiphany: it's a kind of custom which aims at driving away bad memories of the past year and at making good wishes for the newly one.

That's just a tradition but it made me think about my personal bonfire, what I would burn, past objects with no more meaning to me or remediable weaknesses, but most of all about some little desires I wish I could achieve during the 2012.

Looking inside my closet I found an old turtleneck sweater, quite pretty 8 years ago, it has got too long sleeves and it doesn't cover the waist as it should, I don't even have memories tied to it so that's not a big deal: today will be the end of its run!

Another thing is a pair of red heels, the kind which you buy for the very first parties with friends, when you don't know yet how to behave or how to dress, everything is new, so unfortunately I bought them too small just because I tought I need them: now I learned the lesson and I don't require them as memorandum anymore.

What else...a little bit of anxiety, nothing more.

Wishes?? They are too many to list all of them: let's say that I hope to do all the things I love more, I really like hard work but for something that is worth it.

I wish you all the best dear blog readers and pay attention not to burn too many things, sooner or later everything comes back in fashion!
